hey folks we are gonna be opening up a new section of the farout toys catalog, its a collectible records section, and we are throwing an opening reception for this!
an intimate evening of audio treats
special guest:
Cheb i sabbah (six degrees) will be spinning a set showcasing a nice palette of worldly sounds!! a rare south bay appearance!!
Sound Capsule, which consists of DF Tram and DJ Xan-X, 2 members from the Ambi-sonic collective and regulars at the Big chill festival in The UK!! there style is pretty chill downtempo head nodding tracks with triggered samples being played live!!
we are gonna have some live art for display by Clay Chollar, for first time in San Jose you will get to check out his work in the area. his style reminds me of geiger a little, the guy who designed the Aliens, the one with like Ripley and Bishop!! his work falls in the visionary art culture, you can check out some of work online here

i believe we will have other artists on hand for this occasion, it will be a surprise for sure!!
also i will be throwing down some records for the occasion, i've been dj'ing for close to 6 years now, started in 2001 i believe around the time when the whole terrorist crisis went down, my collection ranges from 70's psychadelic sounds to chill sounds from 94 and beyond! you can see my vast knowledge for this music within my collection that i will have available to the public for sale!!
the records offered are just a taste of what we will be specializing in. Styles range from world electronica, to ambient, dub, downtempo, nujazz/ broken beat, D&B, and other styles!! come through and see for yourself!! many records offereed are long out of print now, and are very hard to find now !! the records will be available on first come first serve basis. also we ill be getting a number of new releases available to you. we will be speciallizing on the whole local scene, and trying to spread it more for the artists. as you can see records is a culture in itself.
