DJ Cheb i Sabbah @ Underground in SF?

Greetings,

I went to the Underground last Wednesday, as usual, to hear DJ Cheb i Sabbah, but he was not there. He's been spinning there for months. Anyone know what's up?

    According to the tour schedule, he was in Montreal on Thursday 6/29 spinning at the Jazz fest there, so wondering if he might've left by Wednesday night.

    Looks like a busy summer tour schedule ahead, so you might wanna call the club on Wednesday nites to double check.

      Thank you for the information, and for the web site. I've signed up for the mailing list from Six Degree Records, and it that's not enough, I'll call the club.

      Perhaps I should add that I had no complaints last week about the DJ, whoever he was. And the usual crowd was in attendance, so I felt at home there, even without Cheb i Sabbah.

        The tour schedule really helps. On my little island paradise, we're lucky if we see Chebiji once every couple a years. I was so spoiled when I saw him four times in 2004--since then, my goal is to see him as many times as the final digit of the current year ;D

        I'm still working on seeing him 6 times in 06. It's been a fortuitous year so far--once in SF (Dhamaal's Worldly V), once in Pdx (Pi-rem opening party), and this weekend, Gypsy Co-op in Toronto!

        Here's to more dancing and great muzik :)
